Okay so I've run into some issues with my build (I cant choose between parts, to me this is a huge dilemma ;)) and I wanted to start fresh and see what you guys would recommend for an £800 gaming build.

I don't need peripherals or an OS.

Please help and yet again I'm sorry for posting again but £800 is a lot for me (I work 8:30-5:30 doing physical labour for £40 a day) so it is a massive investment and I really want to get it right. Much love to those who have helped me before and have not complained at my tendency to post a lot; but I'm sure you can all appreciate the situation. Just to let you know I'm 17 so I'm at college the majority of the time restricting when I can work which means it takes even longer to get the money.

I'm not too sure on the case, I do really like the Corsair Carbide 200R; Would you highly recommend this Zalman one over the Corsair? If so, why?

I prefer the Corsair but its out of stock, I went the Zalman which gets reasonable reviews.

Get the case you like the most, we only spec what we consider is a decent case to fit your budget. I personally prefer the 200R out of the two, but if budget allowed would op for the 300R. I just don`t like cases like the Zalman, regardless.

The Zalman has good extras for the price but I dont know, I'll see whether the 200r is in stock when I buy it all.

I have a free shipping code, would it be worth buying the RAM while its on offer? Or do you think in 3 months or so when I probably have enough to buy all the parts it'll be cheaper?

I own the Z9 plus. It's a fine starters case and you get a lot of kit for the price. The Z9 U3 is better as it's the improved version with USB3 ports. You still get 3 fans (two LED blue), fan controller, digital temp display and a proper side window (the Plus has mostly mesh on the side panel). They also throw in an extension for the P4/8 aux mobo power to help route the cables round the back of the mobo.

Downside for the U3 is that ideally you want an adapter to internalise the front USB3 port cables. In turn this makes the case £60, if you aren't fussed about having a side window then Corsairs 200R is a good shout and doesn't "need" an adapter for the USB3 ports.

I am a fan of the Zalman chassis and I do like RJCs spec but I would personally have the U3. I look forward to seeing what you settle on in the end :)
