800 system help?

Hi everyone looking to buy/build a new base unit for around the 800 pounds mark. Primarily will be used for bf4/fm/GTA 5 eventually. I gather that intel chips are the best atm but would like to clarify whats best, is the best result just go for Intel/Nvidia and be done with it or buy a cheaper cpu and spend more on gpu? Thanks again and any pointers appreciated.

Also, would it be better to get a 3rd gen i7 over a 4th i5. Just wanting to know the reasons for these choices myself too. Thanks again
