Ive added a second 140mm fan below the low mounted one, and its had a huge impact... Are other people doing this?

PS I do normally run with the side on!!!

Does that lower fan sit exactly below the other one? If so you could try making a cardboard tunnel between the two fans to see if it drops temps any further.

Great idea! Tempted to try this myself. A straightforward mod? I used an adapter and couple of noise damping gaskets to change the 140mm to a higher airflow 120mm (Noctua) and it helped some so be interesting to see just how much extra air the second fan can shift.

ive got one of these in my 800d and does a very good job.

im just about to put 2x120mm fan's in the window to drop the temp's even more.

will do a thread soon once i have finished my mod.

The picture makes it look smaller than it is doesn't it :)

I had something similar (without the HDD rack, think it's a Scythe something...) in my HAF... decided to ditch it and keep the standard bay covers though :) and ziptied a fan inside the bays :)

i was after one of those scythe karma bays but there so hard to find and no one seems to sell them anymore.

so i went for the lian-li and it is actually pretty damn good for the money.

I had the scythe karma bays and found it not to be as wide as the bay itself.

Ie. i left quite a large gap either side of the bay and allowed quite a bit of like to leak through which annoyed me lol.

The lian-li cages are far better.

Thats what was throwing me off. It looks like I'd have spaces either side with nothing for it to mount on ending up jiggling about. I looked around for better images. I had been wondering how I could fit my spare 120mm without it looking tacky.

I've measured it though, 149mm width.

I just hope it's still in stock for tomorrow (put my order in) as they only have 1 left.

SSD compatible on the side? or just laptop drive compatible? I'm assuming the hard drive rack can be removed to just mount the fan from what I can see of the 4 screws.

I bought some vented 5.25 bay covers for my lian li a70f, then added a 120mm fan held in place with elastic.

Yep, cheap and cheerful, also got a 120mm fan hanging behind my gpu's, knocked 10c of the load temps on the top most card.
