800Mhz DDR3 RAM? Whaaat?

Just got given a stick of 8GB DDR3 from a colleague who is getting a new comp. Just looked it up in CPU-Z and it seems to say that it is 800Mhz? single channel? Am I reading it wrong? I didn't know they made DDR3 that slow.

Even says HyperX on it?

As for the single channel bit, it's because you only have one RAM module inserted. You need 2 for dual channel, 3 for triple, etc, assuming the memory controller can support it.

That is running as intended but yes, they used to make DDR3 800MHz in the early days. It was the slowest speed, but it did exist.
