Have come across 2 different model numbers of the 80GB X25-M:

SSDSA2MH080G2C1

and

SSDSA2MH080G2R5

What is the differance between C1s and R5s?

Thanks...

EDIT: From what I can find R5 is simply C1 + some Intel packaging, ie., R5 is the "Retail" package...

Packaging.

R5 is the retail version - it includes a "My SSD Rocks" sticker and a plastic adapter which adds an extra 2mm thickness to the disk (which is 7mm thick) which you might need if you were using the SSD in a laptop bay. (see http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1022/1/ for pictures).

The C1 is the OEM edition which doesn't include the sticker or the adapter.

EDIT: Having a look at the exterior of the box (the SSD comes in) it says C1, rather than R5...

I got the R5 for £320 1 week ago! Still doesn't fit my Antec1200 2.5" adaptor

How did you mount/install them?

I've just bought 2 (two) of the R5s, also bought This to mount them, but in a Lian Lin PC-V1010 case; do have an Antec 902 case as well and the HDD mounting arrangement in it (as you say) is quite awkard...
