I'm not sure it's due at all. I don't think Sony have announced they are releasing it in europe.

I've heard that all 40Gb models post July 2nd come with Dualshock 3's. I could be wrong though so you might want to get someone else to confirm that

I read a rumour earlier today that Walmart are expecting a new model to be released in August... Realise that means nothing for EU, but....

They still come with Six-Axis, some companies bundle Dual Shock 3's alongside the console... at what's clearly extra cost.

i read that Sony are going to release a bigger hd model in the eu (more than 80gb), its just gossip at the mo, but i wouldn't be surprised...

You can buy Dual Shock 3 controllers from EBay for no more than they will cost in the UK when they are released.
You can buy a 2.5" 120GB+ HD for next to nothing.
So you may as well take the PS3 plunge sooner rather than later.

No I didn't. So I can buy any 2.5" SATA drive and put it straight in? Is it easy to install?

Yes, takes less than 10 minutes. You need a 2.5" 5400RPM SATA laptop drive.

It explains it all in the manual, and there are numerous video guides on You Tube etc. Back all your exiting stuff up first via the XMB, replace HDD then restore all your stuff onto the new HDD.

Not sure on the limit, but I know people who have hooked up 750GB 3.5 inch SATA drives with an adapter (drive sits outside the PS3 obviously) and that works fine. So it clearly supports 750GB at least
