80GB PS3 when?

Probably not, plus any possible increase in heat due to the extra cache would be unwanted anyway.

I did notice that when I got my PS3 (about a month and a half ago now), the design of the cage that held the hard drive was different to the designs that I'd seen on youtube previously.
There's probably a new lot of videos out now showing how to change out the drive to fit a new one in on the newer design, but basically instead of undoing that screw and releasing the catch and pushing the hard drive towards the front of the PS3 using the catch, all you have to do is release the screw and pull the HDD out sideways.
It's like it's mounted perpendicularly to how it was mounted in those other videos I saw a few months ago.
Basically though it's easier to change than the older design, had to scratch my head a bit though when i first saw it to work out in which way it was different
