80's raver? if so then i need you!

Not to be a party pooper, but aren't most of these suggestions early nineties?

I for one remember dressing up in global hypercolor tshirts and baggy multicolour jeans, and some purple kickers/wallabees (leaving all the tags on).

Most (if not all) of these things are indeed from the early to mid-90's.
The scene he is refering to went from the mid/late-80's to the mid-90's in Manchester.....Acid House (think early Hacienda) with 'Alternative' Indie on the opposite (think Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, etc)

I know, i was there!

Don't forget the drug induced glazed expression on your face & Ebineezer Goode by the Shamen in the back ground.

I was too young, but acid house was at it's height around the same time I got my first Sony ghetto blaster and discovered music, so it had a heavy influence on my taste.

Watching the videos of these events makes me think what an amazing time it must have felt like while you were part of. It was probably the last youth revolution this country will ever see.

It was probably the only youth revolution this country will ever see.

Fixed. :)

OP:
Don't forget the 'Big Box, Little Box' moves with your hands. ;)

Edit: Listen to stuff like Rebel MC, Artful Dodger, Cathy Dennis. The Acidhouse/Hardcore era didn't actually start until the beggining of the 90's tbh so just watch you don't look a gimp when you walk in and everyone else is dressed in pop socks, pipe jeans etc...;)

This was the closest the 80's got to 'Rave'. Get a listen to it if you can. Ahhhh the days. :)

Apart from Gilly's Spliffy jeans which were mid/late 90's ;)

No chance. I was wearing them (or knock-offs) before I moved from my first house, and that was at 11. I'm now 28. It was '90 at the very latest :)

Yep. But there weren't any proper raves til the very late 80s anyway, that bled over to the 90s in styles and fashions anyway.
