£850 first pc build

hono i like your spec but i do want it water cooled. You seem to be dead against it

i already have a cooler master storm stryker so dont want a new one as i love it! is that card better than the one you put in the first spec? because i prefer the gigabyte. Unless of course its better.

ah rite kl kl.

hono's spec is great, you can always change the cooler to something else.

the gigabyte windforce 3 would be my choice, better cooler slighly higher stock clock speed, but the his does boost to 25mhz over the gigabyte, which isnt really something to consider, unless your looking to break heaven records.

A good closed loop cooler (CLC) will be around £100 and in truth it wont cool any better than the K2 heatsink I used which is half the price. A proper custom watercooling loop will be a lot more than £100 so is going to eat into the budget and make the build more complicated and I wouldn't advise taking that on for a first build.

If you want the GB windforce that's cool but it's now £270 not £240. I used the HIS to keep it to the £1000 budget you stated.
