£850 Gaming PC

No,

Just use the stock cooler until, you can afford one.

It will still do a 4ghz+ OC etc.

as stulid has said, a stock cooler and a decent motherboard is preferable to a good cooler and a worse motherboard. upgrading the cooler is cheap. upgrading the motherboard really isnt

Hmm ok, I guess I loose future Ivybridge and GPU compatability with the ASUS one?

Yea, the Asrock one has no reviews and the ASUS has a number of good ones and is cheaper is all

If its LGA775 fitment? then it will go on.

The ASrock board has extra holes for these coolers, so get some thermal paste if you want to re-apply it?

Just use the stock cooler, when you have a spare £25-30 get a new heatsink, you can fit it without taking the motherboard out as theres a big hole in the motherboard tray to get access to the rear.

Ok mate cheers, I will be quite worried about trying my first ever overclock on a stock cooler tho =P, maybe il have to go even further over budget -.- What heatsink would u recommend when I go for one anyhow?

WIth the motherboard theres a simple feature in the BIOS where you just select from preset speeds (4.2-4.8ghz) just select the lowest one.

Anandtech reviewed these chips and overclocked using the stock heatsink.

Ok, so unfortunately, the damn RAM has gone off offer now, and I think I might need to rethink my budget anyway, could you give me a similar spec with an absolute maximum of £850 and preferably £800

Thanks!!!

Ok cheers mate, will it still OC to 4GHz stable on stock cooler with that mobo?, and how much would 1tb hd add to that? about £20 I guess?

The board has loads of OC functions it seems - http://www.msi.com/product/mb/Z68A-GD65--G3-.html#?div=Overview - it has OCgenieII
