What make and model? If it's a good one it should be more than fine. The 7800X3D is pretty efficient. Rated at 125w but only actually draws about 88w under load.

I haven’t bought it yet, I was gonna get a BeQuiet one (ATX 3.0, PCIE 5.0 etc) but im open to suggestions.

Pretty much as title really although there’s a chance i may get a 7900XT instead.

Thanks

Should be fine, however you might be better with a 7900XT - lower board power and many are 2 8 pin only - and reportedly have much lower spikes.

I was going to go for a 7800X3D and 7900XT for my next build but have changed my mind and am going for a 7600X and 7900XT instead.

I was tempted to go for an 850W power supply but decided that you're better off going for a PSU that's too big rather than one that isn't big enough. It'll save things from going BOOM...PFZzzz lol

top spec 850w psu`s would be fine, i had a 16% overclocked 6950XT with i7-13700K, and running a watercooling pump with a top of the range 850w Seasonic and it ran perfectly.
