I'm having problems getting an XFX 8600gts to work. When I try to install any drivers for it, it tells me there is no Nvidia hardware found (tried the ones on the CD and from their site).

Anyone got any ideas? It seems like the card can't ID itself.
 
I'm using XP64. There are official drivers for it :)

Another thing I notice is the fan seems to be on 100% all the time, very noisy too.

If I try to force the drivers on it only finds 8800gts and 8800gtx ones as the only 2 options, which is weird. If I try and use them I get a BSOD when I try and go into the Nvidia options.
