8800 fan speed

Is it okay to set the fan speed on the 8800GTS to 100%? I don't mind the sound, just wondering if it might break the fan or bearings or something?

It drops it by 12C on mine from default.

It won't really affect the lifespan. But why would you want the fan to run at 100% all the time? If it can't run stable without running at 100% then there's a fault.

As for reducing temp - absolutely unnecesary.

I wont damage your card to run at 100%. I suppose that it's worthwhile if your O/C'ing.
