i'd remove that competitor link m8 before the dons see it


usually sli boards have a card you can flip to change it from 16x and 4x to 8x and 8x.

This one has the pair of slots hardwired to 8x so even if you only use a single card it will still only run at 8x.

OP. You need to check what version your PCI-e slots are on this board. As it's a quite old board it may have Version 1.0 in which case the 8800GT will not work.

There's plenty of people reporting that they work on older PCIe 1.0a boards, NF4 for instance. I'm sure there are individual board issues, but generally PCIe 2.0 is allegedly fully backwards compatible with 1.0a & 1.1
