I just got a new graphics cars today to replace my 1900xt as it was slowly dying.

The card does give my pc a nice boost in some games but not others as I expected as my CPU is limited.

The problem is that I'm still using a 17inch CRT monitor and although I've set the monitor to it's maximum screen size it still leaves small borders all around my picture.
It's not much about 2-3mm but I never had this problem with my old ATI as it had controls to expand the screen, I carn't see any controls in the Nvidia control pannel apart from the screen centering option.

Is there any way to expand my picture?

Maybe remove the monitor from device manager and then let it install again. Also try different refresh rates by going to display properties, settings tab, advanced and on the monitor tab to see if that helps. Good luck.

For a CRT monitor the controls to expand the screen are on the screen itself

Have a look in the menu for height and width adjustments

If the monitor controls still can't fill your screen then change the refresh rate a little. Minimum 75Hz to avoid flicker but try changing to other values.

Thanks I do have the monitor set to use 85Hz, less gives the same results and 100Hz makes it worse.

I have found some drivers for my monitor but that dosn't help either.

The monitor is set to the max it's just as they don't go far enough, I never had this problem before using ATI.

It's not a big issue really just a bit odd.
