8800 gtx sli, not working with multiple display!!!

If you are cloning the display , which it seems you are, then you are trying to view a 2048x1536 sized picture through a 800x600 ( or something similarly small) sized hole.

Set them up as independant displays not the piddly little TV trying to clone the massive monitor image.

EDIT - if you don't want to do that the other option is to run your CRT at 800x600

was afraid of that.... damn, hmmmmmm, looks like i will be investing in 2 2407 dell's after all  oh well.

Is there some reason you need cloned displays ?

As dual view should work once you've turned SLI off , you should be able to treat them separately and play your game on your crt while playing a movie on the TV.

ok, here is the exact senario im trying to acomplish. my best friend and her girlfriend both HATE playing games, and all 3 of us every friday/saturday spend about 3-5 hours sat at my house and watch me play games before we go hit up town because they love it (dont ask why, they are like 2 football hooligans "GET HIM!!! KILL!!! SOMEONE BEHIND YOU!!! AHHHHHHH!!") and we always complain about staring into my crt as its tough cos me sat infront of it. so i dragged out a old old tv that support 1028x786 ax res i think. purely and simply to run as a cloned monitor so they can spectate without screaming "ags, move your shoulder, i cant see ****!!"

i understand about the sli part, thats not a prob, cos even with one card running i rarely run into a fps below 80 if i run a res of 1600x1200 on my crt.

so i need to get the tv running as a clone at its native resolution. is this possible without altering my crt res, because 1028x768 on my crt.... its just ugly.

my last option would be to get 2 24" dell lcd's as that is perfectly fine to spectate from, but id rather stick with my crt, i love it way too much, so soft on the colour.

OK I see now :D

No you can't do what you want really - your only option is to get another monitor really but surely just buying another monitor you can run along side your existing crt is cheaper than buying 2 24" Monitors .

Just get something like the Dell 2007 non-widescreen and run it and your CRT at 1600x1200 with a cloned view - £260 instead of £900 :p

but then i have a good argument point of "2007 is a small screen to watch from a distance of around 3 metre's"

so, i think ill fork out for the lcd's. if i dont like it, ill return one and just run my crt at 1920x1200 and cope with the squashness.

also another great things about crt's, stupid resolutions :D everything is possible.
