8800 series - can you overclock the shaders on their own yet?

Well, really the title pretty much sums up the thread.

Apparently a while ago NV said that with the 8800 series you would be able to clock the main GPU speed independant of the shader speeds. Has this happened yet? or is there no way of doing it.

So far I have my card to 660/2040. Before I play around further I was wondering if it was possible to change the settings for the shaders on their own yet?

I believe you can by modding the bios with nibtor or whatever its called. Also handy for putting your stable clocks down in the hardware :)

Only was is to use a utility th change the BIOS values and load that BIOS to the card: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2931&p=3

But as this changes the default speeds IMO it is rather dangerous if you set it too high.

I have also read a review of a Foxconn 320MB 8800GTS that has a fixed shaderspeed of 1200Mhz that can't be overclocked which sucks if you bought one.

NiBiTor is the cool little util for dumping & tweeking the BIOS, have to use nvFlash to get the back onto the card

www.mvktech.net is the place to go, loads of gfx card BIOSes, plus you can do youre bit to help out by upping youre BIOS
