8800GT OC2

Thinking about upgrading from my X1900 XT to getting one of these, Since they look awesome!! Thing is i have Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 conroe @ 2.40 GHZ. Im worried that my CPU will lag behind this card when playing the likes of crysis since its quite powerful. What do you think?

My spec is

Asus P5W DH Deluxe motherboard
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 Conroe @ 2.40 GHz
Corsair XMS 2 2GB dual channel 6400
HIS ATI X1900 XT 512mb
Western digital Caviar 500GB SATA 2 16mb Cache

clock it to 3.0/3.2 Ghz and your be fine.And tbh i cant see you getting cpu lag with a 6600.Maybe 3dmark but not games .

Will be fine, i used an 8800 GT with a stock E6600, ran Crysis fine, all set to high.

Great stuff Thanks guys!!! im going to get it then. Also skuntsta ive noticed your E6600 is OCed to 3.2!! What sort of CPU cooler do you use to handle the temps since its overclocked? Also im new to overclocking and would like to attempt it with the correct CPU cooler not the stock.

Its on air the case helps loads and a Zalman CNPS9700-LED but there are a lot better on the market than mine now.Under load i get temps of 48c but my bedroom is kinda hot idle 37.
