Hey all,
Recently Purchased a BFG 8800GT OC to put into my computer. The motherboard is a AW9D-MAX.
Now the problems begin
Installs fine and boots into windows no problems, drivers etc installed.
I was working on the machine and basically a black line came across the screen then disappeared pretty much the same time. Firstly i thought it was the drivers, so i updated to the latest drivers and the problem still happens, its not all the time, just occassionally. This i can live with i guess, more of an annoying problem.
However,
Second major problem is that when i go into the control panel for nvidia it shows that the 8800GT is running at PCI-Express x0. Which leads me to think that the device isnt installed properly. Reason i looked into this; is the general performance of the card isnt really that much better over my previous 7600GT in the machine.
Ive flashed the motherboard BIOS to the latest release. Also latest chipset drivers and graphics card drivers.
Only thing i can think of that is causing the problem is some kind of compatibility issue between AW9D-MAX and the BFG 8800GT. Wether it be the firmware on the card or the fact that the PCI-Express slot is only 1.0/1.0a and the card is PCI-Express 2.0
Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated at this point as im out of ideas.
