hi all, i have a problem with finding a program to check my gpu temperature....ive tried rivatuner, nvidea website, coolbits which dont work at all,an msi mobo tool that came with my mobo but everything ive tried doesnt show the temperature:(:( any ideas

The stuff that comes with the card should tell you... nvidia monitor it's called.

Oh and without looking at the software, I can give you a good idea of how hot it is. The answer is hot ;)

I was wrong about the 8800GT's coolers, I thought they were fine but in my P182 I was playing TDU and I noticed the GPU temp on my G15 LCD was 90 degrees, I just ignored it changed to a different app on the screen and later on the whole screen just had red crap on and pc crashed, I rekon it must have got wel over 100.

default fan on a GT is 29%. Ive found 38% to be silet, and then went about setting my fan profiles in rivatuner accordingly. Used to idle at 64 and hit 80 in COD4, not idles at 45 and hasnt gone above 70 (thats when my 60% fan kicks in) even now ive OCed it.

Has a 120mm fan in the side of the case however, turning that off raises temps a bit.
