8800GTS 320?

Aye, exactly - It all depends what he wants to do with it, and when he can next upgrade. My 8800GTS 320 copes fine with CSS and TF2 even at 1900x1200. Obviously Crysis hates it at that res, but any other games i can run at med/high settings as long as i don't go mad with the AA.

I ws tempted by the £155 gtx when it was on offer here, but decided to hold out another couple of months and get a 1GB 4870 when they're out.

Yeah buy it and flog it for more is what id do to, i wouldn't use it, i used a 320mb GTS at 1280x1024, i had to start lowering details, turning off AA, and even had to start dropping my res down.
 
No i went to an 8800 GT, but then downgraded the lot as all i do is spend me time on the net now, as games have dried up, hardly any get released now, and they always get delayed etc..., and what with the the gfx card market not going anywhere for nearly 2 years (and doesn't look like changing anytime soon), i just said balls, fed up with it all now, bored ********, i just don't get excited by re-releases of 2006 cards with price increases now that were in 2008. :)

No..I know how you feel about it all to be honest. If I could get much cash for my 8800GTS640 and c2d system I'd be sorely tempted to sell it all and get myself a laptop. Only needs to be half-decent at games as I still play q3 engine era stuff on and off.
 
I completely understand and agree with what Loadsa said, I think in the not too distant future PC gaming will completely dry up bar CSS and WoW etc. and we will all be using laptops for PC stuff and consoles for gaming.

There really is little point in buying anything better than an 8800GT at this time and the 320MB GTS is really not that far behind it.
