Well hopefully today is the day that the new nVidia 8800GTS 512MB is launched!

How much will it be?
How well will this beast overclock in the hands of a 'capable' GPU veteran?
Will it cause widespread mania like the 8800GT did at launch?
Will the 8800GT have its priced reduced?
Will the 8800GTX owners flock to this thread en mass to dis nVidia latest GPU?

lol, ive noticed at other etailers there GTS sections are empty now, i'm actually getting really curios despite deciding to stick with me GT till next feb.

is it time yet?.

Looks like I will be taking my laptop into uni then to make sure I get one if the price is right, not waiting around weeks like people have been with the GT!

Dunno why everyones expecting a release today, last i heard it was rumoured to be the 11th or the 12th. :confused:

there is bugger all GT stock availible so what makes you think the GTS will be any different?

According to gibbo they have 1000 gts units in stock for the launch.

Still strikes me as odd with this being a slightly more complex chip (more stream units) than the gt that they have more in stock. :confused:

I think Gibbo said they have 1000+ of these in stock, which should be a decent start.

Agree with Gerard, the official release date was 11th, not 10th. It'll be tomorrow.
