Need your help with my 8800GTS...!

I am running Vista Premium and my 320MB 8800GTS is only showing up as 256MB in my Windows Information...

How come? And how can I fix this?

I'm sure your card does have 320Mb. Check with everest/cpu-z etc.

If it's just a windows vista glitch, why are you bothered about what it says?

errr. the 8800 cards only come with 320mb, 640mb (GTS) and 768mb (GTX).

They don't make a 256Mb 8800 GTS.

And the fact that the manufacturer number of the card is VD-BFGE86256GTSOCE

"86256" being the key = "8600 GST 256Mb" Check nvidia's website and don't trust shopping search engines.

Also if it was a 256Mb 8800 GTS the core speed is 710Mhz which is 26Mhz more than the fastest Ultra GTX card costimg more than £500.

So if you do really have 710Mhz 8800 GTS 256Mb then I would count myself very, very lucky ;)

Well, I have seen the exact same card in PC World yesterday, with 256MB written on it.. Very strange...I will have to tell them.. :) :) :)

Yes but does is say "8800" or "8600" - sixes can look like eights if you don't look closely ;)

ANd you best tell Nvidia that they are making them cause they don't know about it :p
