Hey!

Got my:

Q6600
2 gig ram
Abit IP35

This afternoon and its begging for a nice PCI-E card... still running my spec that's in my sig.

So is a 8800GTS 320mb a good option? dont wanna go over £200 inc delivery. BFG OC looks quite nice :)

Anything else that im not aware of that I should go for?

cheers

Yep, at that price it's the best. :)

If I were you I'd get the cheapest one possible and 'clock it up to the speed of the BFG. You'll have the same performance and you'll be able to get a case or two of beer to go along with it. :p

I disagree, 2900 Pro is looking promising.

I'll back that one up.

Take this review with a pinch of salt though until we have some users on here testing the cards and then seeing yourself what these are capable off. The results should hopefully start pouring in 2moro.

2900 ehy? well I wouldnt be able to get the XT... too expensive for me atm.

Quick google search brought up links to a polish hardware site... 8800 gts 320mb seems to be slightly better/on par with the 2900 pro in a lot of games... although it does seem to do well in Stalker and 3D mark..

Reckon the cheap OCUK 8800GTS 320mb version and overclock it to 550? reckon it'd get 575?

With the pro looking to be on par with the gts 320 and £170, surely the pro is going to be the best buy with its extra memory for upcoming games?

good point.. but will it be used? I'm not going to be playing at particulary high resolutions (1440 X 900).

Same res as me, and i got told countless times that 320mb ram will suffer for upcoming games.

I don't know for sure tho, just what i've been told by others on here :)

Can you wait a few days?. If so then it will be easier to tell as so far we have one review to go by. I think that if not 2moro then Thursday there will be enough information for you to make a better judgement on this. It is a bit of a hard one now that the slowdown bug is fixed but I think these cards will be better than the 320mb version (In my opinion).
