8800gtx driver problem

Hi there,

I am having a problem with my new build. I installed Vista 64bit with sp1 then started to install the asus drivers.

I then got a blue screen, couldnt see the error code. I restarted a few times, everything is fine in devman except for the gfx card. It has an exclaimation mark next to it and has this error message.

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

I have downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia.com to no avail

any ideas? My sys is listed below.

4GB corsair dominator
Asus 8800gtx
Antec 650w truepower
swiftech compact h20-120
500GB samsung spinpoint
Pioneer DVD-RW.

Try the Graphics card forum.

Uninstall the drivers via control panel, then boot into safe mode and run driver sweeper http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1655
Then reboot and reinstall the drivers.

nah that didnt work. thanks for the suggestion. Looks like it could be a problem with sp1 according to a few google searches. i have a msdn subscription so ill just download regular 64 bit vista and leave sp1 for now.
