8800GTX is it worth it?

I'd go for the 260 if your psu can handle it. Otherwise, the 250 is a decent card, the extra ram on the 1gb wouldnt go a miss either.

Im running an 8800gts 512 (same as the 250) which handles everything except crysis so FS should be fine. I would kill for the 1gb of ram tho!

I would go for the 8800 over the 250, as the memory bandwidth is far superior and will help greatly at higher resolution

compare £50 to £100 odd, and then if your paying that £100 odd then you may as well go for the 260

So really it comes down to the 8800GTX/Ultra or the 260 so its about price/warranty

Yes I had heard of issues with FSX and the 9000 cards but I prefer FS2004 so thats not amajor issue, my 8600GTS runs great just doesn't like the big screen resolution at 1024x 1080 it was great. I have a few on eBay I am watching but gettinga 8800GTX for £50 looks ambitious. Will keep looking. I have a week away so not rushing just yet

Yes I think your right thats what I think I will do, now getting one is the hard job...well at least a decent 8800GTX/Ultra

8800gtx will play most games still on high on 1920 x 1080, thats what i was using before going to the 295. it wont be able to run crysis or mirrors edge very well.
