8800gtx upgrade

Howdy folks quick question I game on a 24" dell would a 5770 be a noticeable upgrade because i'm on a tight budget due to other upgrades being purchased.

If you don't care about dx11 mate, 4890 is the one. One very powerful card, if not the best single gpu dx10 card out. 5770 is a good card but don't exspect good performance in dx11 games.

so basicly I should be ok with a nice cheap 4890 for now then thats great I canget my shiney i7 and board and ram.

Yep. You won't be dissapointed with the 4890's performance atall.

It would be ~25% faster, which isn't much for £125. However It does give an easy upgrade path with Xfire down the line, as it isn't too power hungry.
