8800ultra or wait

as part of my new rig i was planing on buying one of these but have read nvidia are bringing out a new range early next year, should i hold off and wait or just go ahead, i dont want to blow my money on the ultra if the new cards will be infinitly better in only a few months. should i hold off or just get one?

Leave it till dx9 only is actually enough of a problem for you to make it a real big deal

Get an 8800 gts sell on and get new card when it is out pick up a 2nd hand one for £140-£150.

Get it if you want to play Crysis the best you can as no other cards are due this year thats better.

BTW, what CPU do you have as any new card may limit your CPU ?, hinges on that.

true, should have said in the post that my current rig is being bought by a friend, ive got an old ati9800 that i can use when ive built the new rig in the meantime thats why i thought of getting the ultra now as the 9800 wont run the newer games

Definately get the Q6600, no point buying a Dual Core at that price really, imo anyway.
