I never tried one core cinebench sadly.

Did some further testing today will post the screens later to show delid improvement.

On this particular cpu I saw 26 degrees improvement by deliding on load using real bench for one hour at 5g as a bench test.

people on the enthusiast platform are being screwed over
pay twice the price but always a generation behind

would love one of these CPUS but need more than 4 cores
 
I only tried these on Z270 as I said before. I know from other tests z170 Rog gene is fine and asrock oc formula and formula matx. Otherwise can't be sure. I can't try every possible combination.

Brazo World of Warcraft ofc im sopending 5-7 hours a day playing it in 3d atm and it runs on 2.5 core more or less. Kinda 13year old engine :/ Taht game would benefit from dx12 like nothing else..
 
^ these or the 5.1 actually shipping at 5.2 bundles sound ideal for your needs.

7 hours per day!! What about the gym man?

That does sound some poor optimisation but I doubt in the debated scenario an extra 200mhz (4.8-5) would offer you much. Perhaps half a frame at best. Given your currently at 4.5 the jump to a dog chip at 4.8 or a golden chip at 5+ might offer a couple of extra fps but it's not going to suddenly make the game playable.
 
In my experience, if running in 1080p running DDR4-3600 ram can give a large boost in a game if CPU limited so don't ignore RAM choice.

Personally I would go for the 5Ghz chip and run it at slightly lower volts at 4.7.
 
I would go for 5.1 bundle which will be 5.2 and change RAM to 3866mhz 8gb Team grooup kit. I presume such an old game will not use more than 8gb. I mean hardly anything gets close. Contact sales to do this. So far I have done a lot of teh 5g bundles been ordered myself too.

8 Pack i dont skip any day 10k running and 30 minutes body weight training 7 days a week.
Ill wait to see what AMD comes up with. If anything i will wait for next gen 6 core cpus. You know how i is once you go 6-8 cores you dont go back. Especially i render 32 gb of Rave videos from my GoPro every weekend. And while thats rendering I'm Training :D


Brazo i was doing some tests and every 100mhz was bumping my MINIMUM fps in raids by 2fps :D I had 5ghz 2500k before and 4.5 on HW=5ghz on Sandy like 1:1 if it goes for power out of core :)



on other note gote few people from my Polish forums very interested in those CPUs :) Dont think any company sells bined + de-lided cpu's with warranty in EU atm :)
