8PACK OrionX: New Flagship 6950X, Tri-SLI Monster Dual system

When I win the lottery, after the La Ferrari, this'll be the second thing I buy :)

Absolutely stunning.
Kudos to Ian and the team putting this together.

Would love to own one, but it would only sit under the desk and no one would ever see it's beauty.

That, and I took the family to Disney in Florida for about the same cost :D

The plates are called Pass through's The ones used in this build are mainly three layers which allows room for the coolant channels to pass over each other. The Red arm feeding the Impact is upto 8 layers stacked.

Made by who?

i reckon you should have waited for 1080's man looking sick though.

Computex is the launch date for many NDA products within PrionX as JR points out. So we could not wait the vendors wanted the rig for wow factor and we have done what was required to meet computex deadline.

When the rig arrived back to OCUK we will implement some further ideas ;-) and also at least 3x 1080.

Speaking to Ian Perry or 8Pack as he’s more widely known, the price hasn’t been nailed down yet but he told me to expect something north of £16,000 ($23,000). This is due not just because of the hardware, but the customization involved too. Customers have apparently requested a PC that houses two systems so when one is under heavy load doing highly demanding tasks such as rendering, they can switch and have a fully-responsive PC.

£18k plus pc lol....quality. Lottery winners need only apply :p

How do you switch between the two pc's though? Does each "pc" have their own keyboard and mouse or how does it work?
