8Pack Red Friday Bundle Support Thread!!

Just having a look at this, was thinking of a similar setup, but wouldn't you be drawing hot air through the radiator and over the m/b and GPU making them hotter

Unfortunately I have no other option as the radiator doesn't fit at the top of my case :(

It does make thermodynamic sense to do it that way though. Greater heat differential equals greater cooling, so cool outside air going across the hot radiator is more effective than hot air going over the radiator. A slightly higher ambient case temperate probably isn't going to have a great effect on the GPU performance unless you run into throttling on the regular which would suggest you have other issues anyway.

Either config for the rad is totally fine. It works well in the roof or front of your case.

If you remove the pcie slots at the bottom of your case, you might be able to get clean flow going from front to back.

We sold out on the first or second day..... Hardly surprising as how well priced it was.....

Quick questions, are these things normal or not?

Firstly, upon first press of the on button on my case from a cold boot the pc powers on for about 3 seconds then turns off. Press the on button again and it works no issues. Is this a problem and does it indicate some sort of issue?

Secondly, when the pc first powers on the aio makes a loud rattling sound for about 5 seconds and then is quiet. Is this normal or a sign of a problem with the pump or some other component?

Thanks

Hi guys, After posting my own thread a member said it might be good to get more help in this one..... I purchased the 8 pack deal 8086k, 4000mhz ram, maximus x hero, asatek 240mm cooler etc. After overclocking to 4.9mhz at 1.25v I'm hitting temps of 85 degrees in real bench Stress test for 15 minutes. Line load calibration is at level 6 and VCCIO and VCA is at 1.05v. I have the NZXT h700 stock front X3 120mm fans as intakes and the stock rear fan obviously as exhaust and the radiator mounted in the top of case with the fans exhausting the air in the case through the rad out. Gaming temps are fine usually 50-60 in 90% of games and the most intensive might just hit 70c. Anyone have any advice as to why I'm so high? I had the ram running on 4000mhz but was crashing every now and then so I have dialled it back to 3400mhz with the same timings 18-19-39 1.35v

Just use the 5ghz 3600mhz profile.. It's always working. No need to stress test like this. Just play your games temps are fine in games.

Thank you for help. All install and setup for 3800MHz. I have seen others with the RAM lit up, how do I do this? I'm sure its something obvious!

Installed a EGVA GTX1080 FTW2 with it. Its looking very nice.... (tempted to put on desk instead)
