8Packs AMD 6800XT overview... and abit of overclocking ;-)

I am really curious to know how this card works with multi-monitor and high refresh monitor configurations.
AMD cards usually jump to full memory clocks at idle, significantly increasing power consumption. Nvidia has this problem too to a lesser extent, but at least there is a Multi Display Power Saver tools to manually force clocks down.

Vega cards didn't have this problem, probably thanks to HBM memory. I was hoping Infinity Cache would help.

There are very few testers who report on it.

Computerbase.de found 2x4k displays trigger high idle clocks. Watching 4k youtube video does that too.

TPU reports no problem with multi-monitor, although they are using ancient 1920x1080 + 1280x1024 monitors. Media playback did trigger high idle clocks

If you have time (and monitors), could you please look into it?
No need to do power measurements, just basic core/memory clock speeds in different monitor setups.
Personally interested in 2x1440p 144hz display setup. And a single 1440p 240hz.

I have a full home gym I built after the first lockdown and will never go back to a gym membership again...

So still full 8Pack certified....

I don't care about power consumption and clocking down.. Those writing about that stuff... I absolutely don't care about idle clocks it's not my remit at all....or watching you tube video clocks etc etc etc.... For sure won't test that!!

Great cards this time around from AMD, really looking forward to 6900XT, just hope I can actually get one. So far missed out on Zen3 chips and 6800 series lol One of the best years for CPU and GPU launches from AMD and almost nothing is available anywhere in the world :(

Just nabbed a Nitro+ 6800XT. I honestly didnt realise it was as powerful, or close to a 3090. Thought it would be close, but thought the price was just high due to everything thats going on. Cant wait to upgrade my 5700XT nitro to this, ofcourse both from OCUK!
