911 servicing, calling Housey/Jez

Like when they were late finishing my service and tried to charge me for keeping the loaner till next day

Yea now see things like that kill me, also when i need a reminder the car is due back to them in the middle of a meeting, i will tell them.

What i should rush to save whichever salesman is taking it home waiting half hour and then have the same firm hit me for a 3k service, please.

Dont get me wrong the warranty is the best and worth keeping up with OPC servicing, they just dont endear themself to anyone at times.

Mind you they dont come near Mercedes for taking the ****, dont get me started on them.

OPC have a nasty habit of recommending disks before they are needed.

Dont bother with uprated bushes, get it done at an indy and save 25% unless it needs to be at an OPC for the warranty.

Loads of people say this and I think some of it may be down to people not using the cars regually. I use mine every day but if its damp and you leave it for a few days you get serious rust on the disks. If this is left for a while then it must have some negative impact on the disks. This combined with porsche going over it with a porsche branded fine tooth comb means its flagged regually.

I took mine in for a replacement lid motor and was surprised when everything got the green light. I wouldnt bother with getting it done at the OPC if you dont have their warrenty.

nothing quite compares to the look of dismay when they promise something funky (we had a gt3 rs promised once) and they wheel out a plane boxster, only way to improve matters is to treat it like you stole it, although even then thats not much fun :p

Well they've given him a Panamera, looks like 'just' the V6 version.

Will get a go in it tonight, I actually like them although it's in a naff dark blue colour.

oh dear I think I'd prefer a boxster than that abomination!!

i suppose it looks "different" :p

They look a bit grim in some colours from some angles, but the one they lent me drove great.

Best interior in any Porsche ever in my opinion.

I love the looks of the panamera. Think I'm pretty much on my own with that, which is a shame as I want people to buy them and then sell me one in a few years with horrific depreciation, as with the cayenne (which is ugly). Seems like you can pick those up for peanuts now.

Its not buying a Cayenne, its running them.

The face lift and the new model seem to be holding their money better now, its the original ones that have bottomed out.

Yep, I imagine they are hefty to run. I wouldn't mind that for a 911 or panamera but don't really get the Cayenne. Wife seems pretty determined for a panamera to be our next car (and that would suit me well enough) and seeing as we've had our current one for 6 months, I'd say they have about 2-2.5 years of hopefully depreciating like mad before I need to worry too much!

Its going to be a fantastic bargain at 3-4 years old, what a car thats going to be for 40k.

the cayenne turbo (face lift) I had would give you 300 miles from a £120 tank if you drove it like snow white, I reckon less than 100 miles if you gunned it.

I enjoyed its interior too now you come to mention it,

I used to get 10 to the gallon in my Cayenne turbo (2006 car) if i booted it and about 15 if i was careful. Then in the other one, just an S but a 2009 car i got about 20 driving carefully :)

yeah 7-10mpg (08 car) gunning it, dont think I ever saw 20+ but given my previous fuel tank calculations I guess I must have, I just lived on the range readout to be honest

here is one at 50% with 150 left so must have been a kind and forgiving day!!

Its the sheer **** off-ness of those turbos that used to make me laugh, i had mine mapped too, nothing that big should have gone that fast.
