9590 FX build

Its not a bad cpu at all, but when it was launched, it was ridiculously priced. For the price, you can purchase intel cpu's that easily outperform it, that's what makes people consider it bad. It'll still run everything you want just fine so in that sense, its a good chip, but for the money much better can be had. :)

Boy intel fanboys are quick off the mark again, yes amd might be out of date with there CPUs but it doesnt by all means the chip he purchased isnt bad.

all he wanted to know is if his temps were fine

Instead of bashing him could someone answer the question?
If the temp is being recorded correctly it looks good to me.
As for those saying out of date CPU there's a few Intel dood's commenting with out of date Intel CPU's too, as is mine, but it does what I need as by the sound of it does the OP's, so what's the big deal?

This same old retort still going on?

Nothing changes on this forum.

To answer the OP, what is it overclocked at? An AIO cooler struggles to keep it cool after you go over 4.5Ghz.

I am still using my 8320 @ 4.5Ghz with an AIO solution by the way. Its not an amazing chip but for £100 it was better than the intel offerings. Assuming you paid top dollar for the 9590 then its throwing you to the wolves im afraid. However - comparing an i3 to it especially multithreading would be a shocker of a statement and is presenting fanboyistic foolish statements.

Wait to all new games are using DX12 and then you can watch your 8 core chip 'destroy' the 4 core Intels...

I would not feel comfortable stating it will 'destroy' them, however it will certainly hold its own till you get a GPU that is quite meaty (using a quality resolution) or anything above dual 7950 territory.

I suppose they are dated now, its a shame the intel 6 or more cores cost flaming so much. I do not mind paying towards £200 for a stonking CPU, but intel take the biscuit wanting £250+ for that realm of cores.
