Hi all i dont know wheather i hav faulty cards or **** system
or maybe it is because the cards are new

i used to have a 780ti but decided instead getting a 2nd hand card because ( i couldnt find a windforce OC and they was 300+ on ebay 2nd hand which i didnt want for warranty issues etc and cost)

so got 2 970 sLI msi gameing g1 and sold my old 780ti for 370£ on ebay

so in guild wars 2 with 780ti i used get 150 fps ( 1 card) and in zerg fights never lag

now with sli 970 i get 100 ish frames lol.... i dont know if this is a joke or what exact same settings as before
everyithng on ultra same res everything

but 2 970 sli must be better then 780ti ... surely...

i did some heaven benchmarks and ill post them below

any tipss or help would be aprpeciated

what do u mean loaded how would isee this

in heaven isaw thme both loaded and being used at 1500 mhz when i disabled 1 1 wouldbe 1500 mhz and 1 would be 200 mhz the one not being used

Run the games you feel performance is lacking, and check to see that both cards are hitting similar temps and clocks. It sounds like a driver issue as in you need sli profiles.

Can tell you exactly why, SLI profile for GW2 is awful, I had the same issues on my rig .. 1 670 was better than using 2.

Don't expect it to be fixed any time soon, have a google for Nvidia inspector. Read how to use it and then google for the profile fixes for GW2.. someone may have come up with something by now but when I was playing GW2.. fat lot of nope.

Unfortunately not all games that say they support Multigpu do it well leading to one card often being better than two, it can be mitigated using Nvidia Inspector forcing the SLI profile of your game to use an existing one(That you know works well) and hope you don't run into graphical issues. I can't tell you the amount of time I have spent googling and forum hunting for an idea on how to sort it!

Don't get too discouraged though! and here is why.. for the games that use SLI and do it well you will have an amazing time, of course the issue is you may not play games that have decent profile but you can use one GPU for games like GW2 and if you want to you can disable SLI all together and use your 2nd card as a PhysX card for games that don't use SLI well but use PhysX as gains can be had there.

not many games even use physx:(

i feel ripped off now and should just stayed wth my 1 780ti bla

dam nvidia

if anyone knows anywhere or place to get profiles others ahve done ? i did look for gw2 before but people just said nvidia added a sli profile

and im unsure what to tick in nvidia inspecter to even force activate SLI

Highlighted the areas for you, pressing the settings icon on the first screen brings up the drivers back end including profiles, in the top box of N.I search for the game you want.

The SLI compatability bits box is what the driver users to provide multicard performance, you can choose to use another games "Bits" or keep it as standard, have a play around. I tend to find a game that uses the same engine or close to it and try that ones "Bits"

then hit apply and test it out :)

I tend to disable SLI when using a physX game and re-enable after unless it has a bloody good usage of SLI (90+% on each gpu), if the usage is fluctuating around like a mad man and it just doesn't feel smooth then I single GPU it if I cant find an N.I fix

What version of windows are you using out of interest, a short trip on google tells me that Win8 is smoother than Win7 for GW2 SLI
Have you done a driver sweep and fresh installed latest drivers, is GW2 your main game? if so you could use the original drivers that came out with GW2 fixes not ideal but might help

didn't notice to reply ! sorry

yes did drive sweeper before installed card
im using windows 8.1

well i play gw2 time to time i play dragon age at the moment but its not useing SLI very well i get only 10% more performance in sli lol ( 10-20 extra frame) at 8xAA

Is your driver the latest driver? All the info in NVInspector is taken from the GPU driver.

Also, do you know that you have to click on the current sli bits and it will create a box with options to select?

yes latest driver etc

when i select profile for dragons age inquistion i dont get the SLi Bits thing that you have in your screenshot i only see that in the " base" profile ..? if that makes sense
