9700 pro replacement

I think i've been tinkering with the insides of my old system a bit too much as i have a lot of dodgy lines on my screen now, so i'm guessing it's the graphics card on the way out? I have tried re-seating it and am just about to reload drivers et all.

Anyway my question is: I currently am using a 9700 pro, as i can't find any for new other than on the bay, what is the nearest card spec wise to this. Preferably ATI and not more than £60.

9800 Pro would be a small performance boost and should cost about £50 or so second hand/in the OcUK member's market.

Yes 250 posts and 90 days to get access You can certainly get a 9800pro within your budget and possibly even get a cheap X800pro or similar if you are lucky.

You can still get 9700 Pros on ebay though, i just picked up a Hercules version one for £44 delivered...

Shame you want ATI, nvidia got some real good cards out for that £60.

Just got a 6600GT with SM3 for £60 inc postage for Bay.
