I really dont know what to do here, I have had my new PC parts delivered last week, I had 2 970s in the order, Just my luck it was the day before the 970 furrore exploded on the internet.

Im still within my 14 days, should I return them or not, I see a lot of conflicting information, some say there is issues, some say its all a storm in a teacup.

The problem I have is Ive dropped a lot of money on a system I will need to keep for at least a few years, and I dont want to have to deal with issues such as stuttering and slow downs. Im playing at 1440p on a rog swift.

So whats the community's thoughts, do I return them or not?

Quite a few games go over 3.5GB VRAM at resolutions higher than 1080p. The issues are real, it's not a storm in a teacup, they just affect a minority of gamers (the large majority don't play at resolutions higher than 1080p) and it looks like you're in that minority.

Personally, I'd return them.

Return them at grab either a 980 (and add another to SLI in the future when price are lower), or just grab a 295x2 while they are still at sub £500.
Not a bad shout on the 295x2, according to ocuk the price is set to rise to £600.00 soon. would have course though depend on the op's psu. Ahh, swift means you are indeed tied to nvidia. Not sure if youd fancy having to return that and go for a freesync monitor.

I've 2 (one msi and one KFA2). Should I return mine (both overclockers purchase) I'm 1440p and needed sli for maximum performance. Ideas please. Thanks

I feel your pain, see sig spec. Sunk my money in to that in September.

Only really started getting issues recently with games like Dying Light, Far Cry 4 and AC Unity.

If I was in your shoes I would return them.

Return them for the peace of mind. Or else it will bog you down thinking about it and regretting it.

Get 2 290X or the 295X2 and enjoy :D
