980 Pro or SN850?

I'm looking for a 1TB NVMe for OS/games and torn between the 980 Pro and SN850 both the same price £100 with the heatsink as my motherboard slot doesn't have one, which one would you go for?

Will also need a 500GB/1TB SATA SSD for caching and files that I need often and saw a few posts that there are issues with the 870 EVO, what's the next best option to go for, MX500?

SN850 if it's mainly for OS / gaming, not that it makes much difference but there's a toggle in the software for 'gaming mode' not sure if the 980 Pro supports that.

SN850 runs hotter than a lot of other drives I've found, both my SN850's run 10c hotter than my Samsung 970Evo.
I run one of the 850's in gaming mode on the drive with just DCS on it
