980 pro worth it?

Building a new gaming system with a 5900x i managed to get and Crosshair hero 8, I have purchased a sabfent rocket 4 1tb and have a pre ordered a 980 pro but was wondering if the 980 pro is worth it or if another rocket 4 in raid 0 is better or just the single rocket 4

Raid 0 nvme? What you doing that requires that much disk speed?

Gaming but want to be ready for the direct IO for gaming asset streaming.

2 rockets in raid should outdo the single 980 pro. from what i see new pcie4 nvme drives seems to be getting quicker. who knows by the time you need the extra capacity a new model drive would be out thats gonna be better.

First start from 32GB RAM.
DRAM simply smashes any SSD no matter what you do with them.
And even that would have small hiccup compared to data in VRAM. (streaming from SSD needs special methods to hide that hiccup)

Whole asset streaming hype is all about new consoles coming with insufficient memories to buffer stuff there.
I mean AMD's RDNA2 cards will have as much VRAM as whole RAM in consoles...

And the way games are bloating up big capacity to install games should be priority, instead of benchmarketing numbers usefull maybe in x+y+z years.
