9800 Prices

the graphics market is terrible at the moment you have to wonder if they can make faster or better single core cards they would have done it.

the future is multi gpu the same way the future is now multi core for CPU. Neither if which are being used.

I agree multi core CPU's are the future but I'm not convinced about SLI/crossfire. Multi core CPU's really have taken off as their prices have actually dropped over time, and those cores are all on the one processor. Financially it's pointless to not look at a multicore CPU. How many of us are using multicore CPU's compared to the number of us running SLI/Crossfire?

SLI/crossfire is just a marketing ploy rather than an effective solution, aimed at making enthusiasts buy more cards. NVIDIA/ATI need to focus on single card solutions. I can't see how NVIDIA can go from blowing us away with the original 8800's in 2006 and then just stalling on any further significant performance gains.
When Intel decide it's time to enter the GPU market, NVIDIA need to be at their top of their game, and not dragging their heels like they are now.
