Seems like it's a case of quantity over quality with Nvidia lately, cant wait to see what the marketing team do with this.
What on earth have they all been doing this past 18monthsDidn't think the 9 series were getting 10.1...

If their past release history is anything to go by, don't expect a new high end card from them for at least another 12monthsMost likely getting there proper new highend GPU ready for release around november time.....
But nvidia know that the start of winter is the best time for sales...If their past release history is anything to go by, don't expect a new high end card from them for at least another 12months.

They didn't need to release a new highend card last november....Thats what people were saying last november and it didnt materialize.

Well we know this cant be the sum total of 18 months work, I have another theory, they've all been sat around a 30" tft playing crysis on max everthing @100fps with the cards that should have been released.
Most likely getting there proper new highend GPU card ready for when Intel release Larrabee
My Theory (its a risk, ill take it):
ATI havent provided much of a threat, so nVidia havent seen any need to really push the boat out. I mean, TBH, these cards will come out, and they will sell... at the end of the day if nVidia make money their happy.
There some new games out worth buyingand burnig desire to buy some new games.
Yeah seems like it. I bought my 8800 GTX second hand in members market about a year ago (upgraded from a 1900XTX) and it is still going strong. I probably won't replace it until the end of the year.Yup, looks that way. Very underwhelming this time around.Safe to say nvidia blew their load with the 8800 series, they either are having a hard time topping that performance or have no reason to top it because of the 2900 series.

I've just looked up that memory, it's GDDR4 with a speed of anywhere between 0.7ns and 0.9ns depending on which specific chip it is. It's also packaged as 16Mx32 which, if I'm not mistaken, means the eight chips on the board gives you 512MB.
