can find the Seasonic SP-SS500 for not too much, is it better than the ones on ocuk?

back to an earlier question, can i run the card temporarily (just windows and pos a film or 2) without the pci-e power to check the card works as it was second hand.
 
You will need to connect up the 6 pin power to the card.
You could use molex to 6 pin pcie adaptors, or get a better PSU.

How is it that a 650w PSU doesn't have any 6 pin power leads.
It should have at least one unless it is prehistoric.

Card will not work without them connected.
It will just scream at you, literally.

dunno why it doesnt have any, its not that old, just a cheap make i guess.

Cabling

Peripheral Power Connectors (Molex) x 3
Floppy Power Connector x 1
+12V P4 Power Connector x 1
SATA Power Connector x 2
20+4 Pin Power Connector x 1

that all it has :(

thing is the card needs 2 6pin connectors, so with only 3 molex on the psu, it would mean adding additional splitter as i also have case fans that run off molex, so with adpators connected to adaptors im thinking its not a good idea, so want a decent psu for not stupid money, but dont want to go cheap and regret it in the long term.
