9800pro in an htpc

i am converting my barton@3200 / nf7-s rig into an htpc.

am looking to quieten down my hercules 9800 pro as it has quite a noisy fan. Is the artic cooler a major improvement or is there another quiter alternative.

Zalman vf700 should fit and I find it to be completely silent at 5v (min) while cooling effectively

Vf700 gets my vote too! V quiet but doesn't extract the warm air from the gpu.

Arctic cooler's also good (i had a his 9800pro with one of these) although it's a little noisier it does vent the warm air from the gpu outside the case.

Swings and roundabouts i'm afraid! So your choice!

have gone for the arctic cooler.....it's practically silent in low mode and vents the case

Great choice!

The one on my x850xt has it running at 621/596 cool and quiet!
