980Ti SLI or wait for Titan Pascal SLI

I'd of thought the timing of Pascal Ti will depend entirely on just how good AMD's Polaris big gun performs and whether it starts to steal the very top end market share away from Nvidia.

If it does, Nvidia will do what is necessary.

Err surely if there was something wrong with the monitor I could return it for another one?

Sure, I've seen people going through about 5 X34s before giving up... Not something I'd prefer personally...

As for SLI; many games don't support it and the ones that do might not always work flawlessly. It's why I don't bother with it, better to have single strong card. I'd take a single Ti for 1440p, you'll be dead happy :)

Okay will think on it sounds like it is capable without 2 but if I want headroom for future 2 isn't a completely bad idea either.

Does sound but iffy on that monitor is it a screen panel issue just Acer not doing good enough QC?

AMD big guns will be similar timeframe as nvidia big guns. It is all because of the manufacturing process limitations at the moment. There is another rumour floating around that computex is when nvidia announce/show off (not release) consumer pascal, and 1st chips will target laptop market only.

I will think on it over weekend before I decide one way or another if I'm going for 980 Ti SLI or if I'm going wait for the flagship Titan later this year.

Wait for Pascal SLI (or just one if it's good enough) for sure. Worse case scenario, just get the 980ti SLI on a price drop :)
