No problem. I would suggest you just browse through recipe websites and print off the ones that look interesting. Most recipes are written for 4 servings so that would be two meals for two (the only awkward ones being work lunches to ensure it's something convenient).
I find that when you build meals around the principles of a 'balanced' dish (protein, vegetables and carbohydrate) that you can find easy ways to make cheap meals in batches. The cheap proteins I keep an eye on are chicken breast and beef mince because that's what I personally eat; but you can incorporate other cuts of chicken, beef and lamb depending on price. For the most part carbohydrates (rice, pasta, noodles, potatoes) and vegetables are the cheaper part of your shop but buying in bulk always helps.
