AAARGH!!! I've got the points, but the badge hasn't registered, so I'll have to bloody do it again!

I had the same with one of my badges yesterday. I suspect they were having problems with their servers, really annoying. It also didn't keep any stats from my hours of Northern Strike games so all the work towards those achievements is gone too

Remember, not all servers support VOIP. Check for the icon before you connect to a server. I presume you join squads since that's the only place VOIP works

Yes, I'm, a big team player! I think I've had it working today, but should I be able to hear the others?

Is everyone using TeamSpeak instead?

Ahhhh.....mee too. Last night i dicovered a new mission in life....to be Recon (instead of assault) and blow everyone up with explovises (which i find quite fun)...I managed to get first recon badge as well as a number of exposives awards...and the stat system hasnt registered any of them.....Well I guess I better get doing the same again tonight. I managed to get two golds playing recon...and had never played recon before.
Watch out when Tox and his explosives are about;)

Depends on the clan, how big it is and how it's run. Some clans will always squad up and work together as a team, sometimes using strategies discussed outside of the battlefield. A clan prefix can help you sift through the rest of the players and is a simple but effective way of having a a family of players you can usually play with.

On the otherhand, some clans are just created without reason other than it's "cool" and therefore it may not be worth joining. All depends on how you want to play the game really, you may simply prefer to go lone wolf and do your own thing. Just remember squads get the option of spawning onto a squad leader if he's still alive or his/her squad beacon, aswell as the ability to unlock items if you haven't already done so with squad points.

Try going on the =w= clan server, home to the rdx, apm spammers and roof campers :D:mad:

Huge amount of fun though.

is anyone else getting badges and pins? I haven't kept one for days, I get them in the match but they don't save....aaaaarrrrggghhhh :(

Nope....i tried a few times to get recon badges, pins and awards...and none of them have registered. Points seem to be though.

Edit....

Just read a statement from EA saying that due to a lot of servers being down last week...the stats system is backlogged and it may take a while for it to catch up again. All points and stats earned will eventaully go onto your acount. We shall see EA!

Bloddy hell im starting to get the memory sanity check again while loading Cerbere Landing, always the same bloody map

Welcome to the club. No fix currently known, but setting affinity to one core if you have a dual core machine occasionally works... Also fiddle about with your memory timings, might make a difference. I think if any are at half values it makes a negative impact, so set them to whole numbers.

Just finally bought BF2142 yesterday and started playing.

I have ended up reading the manual, but still can't work the medic box thing that you can select, option 4 i think, if you are an assault class soldier.

Apparently, I should select it, and stand near the head of the dead player, but it doesn't do anything.

Anyone able to tell me what i'm supposed to do? Ta :)

Edit: Just googled and read that I need the defrib unlock. Will wait till next promotion and unlock :)

You need to unlock the defibularators (sp?) you select them go up to a dead body and zap them, bit like bf2 and it revives them the medi hub is to heal people who are still alive
