I guess because your team suck and have no idea how to destroy a walker :p

probably true :D Im pretty much useless at destroying them except one time as recon i managed to blow that mutha sky high with RDX packs. But usually the guys in the walkers are waay too smart to let me get that close.

If i want to destroy walker i usually go engineer and fire some rockets at him (default rocket type thing) but that doesnt seem to kill him.

You have to know where to hit it. The most vulnerable spot on a walker is the joint between the legs and the body. Two hits there should take it down.

Also, if you don't have AT weaponry, you can shoot the vents on the bottom of the body with small arms to damage it.
 
Just lay loads of RDXs in a line in front of where the walker is going to go (usually best at a choke point) then when he steps over them blow that muthaf***** sky high :D

Yeah, If I'm close enough, I run under them with my pilum, one shot in the vents and they are down.
 
Been playing again for a few weeks no problems.

Now tonight 4 times in a row started a game played for about 5 mins each time and it locks up.

Tried updating PB, same.

I dont understand nothing has changed since yesterday.

thanks im getting the hang of it now :) I think engineers are underused on infantry maps though. Harder to get team points on maps like gibraltar, cerbere etc.

to be honest i had soooo many problems with the patches, PB and NS that i reinstalled everything without NS and it works fine. Dont really miss NS at all. EA :rolleyes:

One other thing though. Do you remember ages ago when there some concern about the in game advertising.

To this day i never notice it and i couldnt tell you what is being advertised :)
 
I just got the game yesterday, I've installed the latest official patch and updated gfx card drivers. But now and then it crashes to the desktop. In the last 40 minutes it must have done it twice.

Is this is a common problem, is there a fix?

I take it patch 1.4 is officially released today, just got kicked from a server and when I tried reconnecting it said I had an older version. So I checked Game-Monitor out and it's showing that server aswell as quite a few other of my favourites on 1.4.

Hmm, I see it's now on EA's FTP server... ;)

anyone played? noticeable differences? (i think theres a new map and the Clark shotgun has got a ROF increase)

FEATURES

- Added a new map - Highway Tampa.
- Added an autosave to kit customisations. After you customise a kit and spawn in with that kit, the customisation will be automatically saved until you change it and spawn in again. Note that you must spawn in with a particular kit for it to be saved.
- Titans will now spawn up to two gunships per side
- Squad Leaders no longer have to resupply to re-equip destroyed drones

CHANGES

- Exploit Fix: hardcoded the time limits of Orbital and EMP strikes.
- RDX Shotgun now detonates RDX, Motion Mines, AP Mines with minimum of 2 rounds.
- Ported EU Assault Rifle changes to the Best Buy unlock as well.
- Fixed LMG Left/Right Recoil
- Revised EU Assault Rifle Recoil
- Increased Clark rate of fire to match Herzog
- Fixed PAC shotgun attachment recoil to match other Herzogs
- Further adjustment to Squad Leader drones to prevent them accidentally killing the Squad Leader when deployed
- Further fix to prevent "pod surfing". Note that some pod movement will still be possible and is an intended gameplay mechanic to allow the player to have some small choice of landing site and to access rooftops
- Smoke from the CM3-N Radar Grenade deploys more quickly. The Radar range has been slightly increased and endures for the duration of the smoke effect.
- The CM3-N Radar Grenade may now be resupplied.
- The screening effectiveness of all smoke grenades has been significantly improved.
- Adjusted Talon heat source position to improve Gunship missile balance.
- Beta Feedback: Fixed the placement of an AA gun on Highway Tampa
- Beta Feedback: Improved the visuals of the swimming pool on Highway Tampa

Finally downloaded, and had a quick bash...

Shotgun is faster (and it seems more accurate), and the pod surfing is gone, to be honest it says there's some movement, but personally I found nothing other than rotate around and around.

Patch 1.4 = *raspberry* :p
