No i don't stat pad i can't see the point in playing a game if you are going to cheat takes away the fun of getting upgrades/badges etc.

Actualy I've rethought that. I don't think the fun is in the reward, but rather the unlocks offer you more fun once you've achieved them.

If people have to put up with advertising on a game they paid for and find an exploit they choose to use, I don't see why they should be punished for it.

That said you won't see me with a score in the millions, stat padding or not

POE 2 excellent mod, but hardly anyone is playing

I quite agree PoE is an excellent Mod and should have been marketed much better & intergrated into BF2.
I have played it a few times and really enoyed it.
Shame EA are going all out on 2142

I was in that club! At £20 i think it was worth buying. At £30 id be a little miffed.

I agree £20 is a good price to pay for the next generation of the game, £34.99 is too much for me, sooner buy o CD or DVD film, they do not have 'bugs', unless you get Starship troopers, then you also get denise Richards ! ! ! ! wow

You guys might want to remove the competitor name from your posts/replies before a mod spots it and whacks a nice suspension/ban on your accounts!
I got my first one from there too, but DHL issues meant I had to cancel delivery and buy it from a shop for £30.
I don't feel ripped off at all paying that much, considering I've got over 40hrs play in the last 10 days from it, I'd challenge any £50 Xbox 360 game to beat that sort of return for the money

This game is worse than BF2 online for connection issues, kicks, server drop outs, losing ranks/upgrades

EA really cant do anything right, think I will wait till they patch it 4 times before coming back to it

I believe there is already a small patch for 2142 ! ! !
It came out the same day as the game.
This really is not good enough from EA

I think that's a bit of a sweeping generalisation, I've had far less problems with all those things than I did with BF2.

I servers only seem to be kicking cus they get restarted which is odd yes.
But generally im finding the 2142 experience very nice. IT ACTUALLY KEEPS YOUR STATS, even if you dont finish the round or get dc'ed, its amazing!

Just wish it wouldnt crash to desktop or hang so often

Although I have issues with server drops, ranks being reported incorrectly and the occasional upgrade not being available I find that the overall experience in BF2142 is far better than BF2. The jumps between ranks is much shorter so giving you that added incentive to try and get to that next rank.
At least they have sorted the issue that I constantly had with BF2 with it not logging into the authenticate servers.

Although I was a little cagey about the unlock system it seems to give a nice balance to the game. I am finding the dogtag and pistol badges the hardest to get at the moment as the game doesn't really favour these two weapons. I think it is time for some infantry only maps. Maybe there are some but I prefer titan mode so much that I haven't really played the conquest maps that much.

Indeed this is why I've had so many late nights this past week or so, the mark of a good game that is, I think only Pro Evo and BF2 have affected me so badly before.

The dogtags are easier to get than you think, as long as you have the stealth suit. It's one of the main reasons I want to get that unlocked.
If you look at the top players, many of them actually have the knife as their best weapon and the stealth camo as their most used equipment.
It's pretty easy maths to figure out what they're doing.

it never did for me, one reason i got fed up of playing it for hours to find ill get dc'ed from EA and not get any hard earned points.

The camo thing really isnt that good, i can hear it before i see ppl with it on and i gun them down 1st

although saying that i do use it sometimes to sneak up and place the demo paks on tanks and stuff

Been playing as sniper recently. Conquest + sniper + sneaky spots behind barrels ontop of buildings = lots of kills

EA downloader updated earlier tonight to "EA Link" and now everytime I try and play a game it comes up with "invalid CD key". I bought the game through the downloader when it was released and dont even have a cd key.

Any of you guys haing the same problem after the update? or know how to fix it?
