By the way, would anyone be interested in a seperate forum for the OcUK BF2142 community? Kind of like what Yhack had for BF2. If it gains enough interest I will set one up sometime today

I hope mine have as well, by my calcs I'll be about 20 points away from a promotion, then I can unlock the spawn beacon and start squad leading properly.

i cant see them fixing the titan lag totally, but it is necessary to move the titan for territorial advantage,
position the titan over a missile site usually with an AA gun near and its hard for enemy copters to board,
they have to face AA and titan guns ...

What they could to as a sort of sideways fix, is to make the engines disabled once the shield is down.
The lag is at it's worst when attacking/defending the Titans, so it'd at least help cut down the lag in those situations.

Not my idea btw, someone else's, can't remember where I read it.

lol mcwildcard, that's from the Patch update i posted in a previous page. DICE are implementing that in the next patch. Titans will be unable to move once the shield is down.

Ah, well at least I wasn't trying to take credit for the idea.
Glad they'll be doing this, I'm sick of having to give repeatedly narky messages to commanders until they get the hint (which half the time they don't anyway).
Mutinies rarely work because people can't be bothered to vote.

hmm, it is my conclusion that the standard support gun Shuko is far better than the Ganz HMG...
ok, the Ganz becomes more accurate if a steady burst of continous fire is carefully maintained, but i feel it was a poor unlock

so anyways the Zeller is my fave weapon but im starting to use the Voss more,
single shot has insane accuracy and at CQC only the baur seems to pip it.

so what are you lot using ?

I love the Baur + Shotgun attachment.
I can't get to grips with the rocket attachment, it seems a bit lame.

Voss and Rocket attachment is my weapon of choice. I currently have 6 unlocks to use but im not sure what to take.

How do you go about using the rocket attachment?
I don't think I've ever managed a kill with it tbh, which is surprising because on BF2 I was a demon with the standard assault rifles' grenade launcher.

Voss, K/D Ratio on the Voss for me is something supremely sweet

Didnt mean to bud, I just copied and pasted Windles list! I will have a check back on the BF2142 Buddy List thread and update my list

Well finally ranked up again last night to warrant officer gold and I am now starting to notice the gap between ranks. Since unlocking a few weapons and moving from engineer to support the points are just racking up. I have to say my fav weapon at the moment has to be the Hanz HMG as it is a beast when you are defending titans.

I'm still having difficulties getting goodc knife kills I have 15 so far but they seem to be more luck than by design. I mean I have to do a few swipes before I get them. Any tips for getting them any easier?

About the rocket attachement, from what i can gather it has a thing like a torpedo the explosive head doesnt detonate unless you check your range thru right click :eek:

Also from that post earlier about putting your titan ove a silo, that is just wrong, if you control that silo and the titan is over it then that missle is going to hit your titan :eek:

Doesnt anyone read those little hints that pop up when loading ????

I must have about 50 knife kills by now, mostly unique.
I think the best advice for them is in titan mode; someone will inevitably be hogging the AA gun and notching up some points by repeatedly battering the enemies titan guns. If you spot this (and it's fairly common) you know that they're easy prey for the knife, as they are concentrating on the sky and cannot see someone running up to them, but make sure you have your knife out already when you get to them, there's nothing that gets me out of an AA gun/ground cannon or up from prone quicker than the sound of a knife being unsheathed!!

tips : knife the enemy from behind ;p

i got 51/48 dogtags atm of which i'd say most were just opportune moments and not running around with the knife out.
