A Battlefield 2142 thread

Nopes, but some people regard it as a sign of embarassment. The way I got it though, I think it's damn commendable to stay on the battlefield when the going gets tough. Most people would've disconnected and, well most of the time I would've anyway. I'm proved of my Purple Heart. :p

How many points do u get for the Purple Heart? I got one on purpose in BF2 to complete my Medal Collection :)

note to self tick the "autobalance" filter for servers. Its not much fun if your outnumbered nearly 2 to 1 in a game just means easy points for the bigger team..

Yeah, after having the same problem in BF2 where i'd be two classes for the entirety of the game, I decided to divide the hours evenly between all four kits. I'm about 20-23 hours within each of the classes and this way i'm getting the best out of every kit.

I'm planning on mastering a class at a time, Assault is pretty much in the bag with my Assault gold and my Medic gold, now I'm starting on the Engineer class. I do need to get used to playing a different way, I keep running into situations which my limited rifle isn't good enough to keep me alive in, plus I'm trying to tackle vehicles head-on too often.

You will never get mine, i got you a few times last night. Always satisfying! Got my Silver Assault/Medic badges last night (again) and they showed up this time! /o/ Nearly in the position to get the gold for them too. 50k's 24/7 Tunis Harbour is great for Assault/Medic

Tunis is rubbish for Engineer class though, I want to hang about on the 50K servers more, but the maps aren't really suited for me atm. I have to stick to their Titan server for now if I want to enjoy my spanky new anti-tank weapon.
 
i find the map tunis great fun, well for getting the wheels of hazard pin !!
grab jeep, and just drive around 'Deathrace2000' stylee , great fun who needs guns !!

camp gib is probably my fave atm, and if your after medic points/heals etc its manic

rumours are,,,, 1.05 patch is out tonight

**im sure we'll still get !!!on noes cant login .. servers down!! every tuesday for the next yr or more**

Tunis, Gibraltar, Berlin, Belgrade = All great Conquest levels!
 
Just had my one of my best rd kills as an engi (going for silver need another 5 hrs) had 50 kills with a combo of Motion mines, the default AT rocket and the small side arm :D

aye , i only seem to play conquest as its more fun, theres no titan lag probs or exploiting and it will stay that way until the next patch for me

i didnt play for at least 4 days and found my 'away' bonus per round was insane ,, it was giving me 30+pts extra after each round .. nice

im wondering if they are going to nerf the support weapons as the stock gun is prob the best overall in the game..
1) setup turret 2) deploy shield 3) whip out shuko(sp) and kill anything that walks into view; even at 300m they die in 2secs
Ganz HMG is a pile of p00, yes once its heated up and the crosshairs centre its deadly , but atm its not worth using

I had no idea, not that I was about to argue with the extra points!

Yeah, the support gun is stupidly effective, it's not supposed to be remotely accurate over distance, it's for covering fire, period!
It's only slightly slower than the time it takes to get the enemy in your sniper scope and get a headshot, that's not right!
In all fairness though, it's probably the only overpowered weapon in the game, all the others are really well balanced.
